Serene Life Hospital has 45 beds and serves adult patients experiencing behavioural problems and those having difficulty facing basic living needs due to combination of Mental Illness and Substance Abuse problems.Based on the patientÒ€ℒs condition we treat it as Outpatient or In-patient. Mental Health problems are common but seeking help is your responsibility.Treatment for ALCOHOL ADDICTIONA chronic disease in which a person craves drinks that contain alcohol and is unable to control his or her drinking. A person with this disease also needs to drink greater amounts to get the same effect and has withdrawal symptoms after stopping alcohol use. Alcoholism affects physical and mental health, and can cause problems with family, friends, and work.A disorder characterized by a pathological pattern of alcohol use that causes a serious impairment in social or occupational functioning.A primary, chronic disease with genetic, psychosocial, and environmental factors influencing its development and manifestations. The disease is often progressive and fatal. It is characterized by impaired control over drinking, preoccupation with the drug alcohol, use of alcohol despite adverse consequences, and distortions in thinking, most notably denial. Each of these symptoms may be continuous or periodic. For most adults, moderate alcohol use is probably not harmful. However, about 18 million adult Americans are alcoholics or have alcohol problems. During this session respective family will be educated about the disease, treatment process and they are shown and explained about the facilities..INTAKEAn important and essential session that happens after admission where our psychologist meets the family members to collect information regarding addiction history, physical illness, psychological problems, precipitating factors of addiction, social & occupational issues etc..,EMERGENCY PATIENT ESCORT SERVICESOur Emergency Rescue team consists of task oriented members, who can skilfully provide support and handle an emergency if needed.MEDICAL MANAGEMENTDetoxification, Withdrawal Management, Anti- Craving Medications, Substitution Treatment, Physical, Psychological, alcohol and substances related Psychiatric Disorder Management.DETOXIFICATIONDetoxification Process (Medical Management) helps to pave the way for abstinence. This process normally takes 21 days. It is basically aimed at the acute stage of withdrawal, where the patient is treated medically to bring back patientÒ€ℒs physical health & routinesRECLAMATIONReclamation process (Psychological) basically referred to Post Acute withdrawal syndrome (PAWS) which makes the patient to realize and modify his behavioural changes / disorders, decreased efficiency, poor money handling, selfishness, carelessness, ethical breakdowns, dishonesty, prolonged time in toilets, stealing, carelessness towards Family and Work those were progressive along with his abuse. The rehabilitation process includes psychotherapy, individual counselling, family counselling, family therapy, group therapy, relaxation therapy, relapse prevention therapy & occupational therapy.COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPYOur Cognitive-behavioural therapy helps Patients in recognizing and understanding the causes of their Addiction and associated problems and helps them to develop skills necessary to overcome them.PSYCHO-SOCIAL INTERVENTION AND PREVENTION THERAPYOur Psychosocial interventions include a broad range of psychological and behavioural strategies either alone or in combination with pharmacotherapy and other medical or other interventions, which help in the Intervention, Prevention and Management of Addiction and Co-related Disorders.MOTIVATIONAL ENHANCEMENT THERAPYDenial, Justification and Blaming is the nature of Addiction. We conduct Relapse Prevention Programs for Out-patients as well as Inpatient treatment program.This treatment module helps patients in self-monitoring and to recognize drug cravings early on and identifying high-risk situations for use, and developing strategies for coping with and avoiding high-risk situations and the desire to use.It helps patients to maintain changes in their substance use behaviour, about how to anticipate and cope with the problem of relapse and develop specific techniques of exploring the positive and negative consequences of using.EMOTIONAL RELAPSEYou are not thinking about using but your behaviours are making you up for a very possible relapse in future. It is a fellowship for Wives / Guardian of Alcoholics who share their past experience, their strength, hope in order to solve their common problems. As they acknowledge it is a family disease and that changed attitudes can support Recovery.ALATEEN Γ’β‚¬β€œ Alateen is a part of Al Anon, but made for the teenagers from 12 Γ’β‚¬β€œ 17 year olds as addiction is a family disease. It is not for teenage abusers, but for those who have been affected by someone else abuse. They also meet and share their past experience with an abuser in their lives. They do share, help & support each other and gain knowledge of the disease and sense the benefits of understanding that they are not alone.NETWORK SUPPORT SERVICESFamily, Relatives, Friends and Self Support Group meetings constitute a very vital role for the Ongoing Recovery of a Patient and helps the individual affected by the disease of Addiction to help lead a substance free life, with a balanced life style and Spiritual Recovery. Inpatients are taken to Self-Support group meetings, while in treatment and are encouraged in attending these meetings once the patient gets discharged.FOLLOW UP AND OUT PATIENT SERVICESFollow up and Outpatient Services helps in Relapse prevention and is an ongoing process in the Recovery of the Patient The Physical. Psychological, Emotional, Family, Job and Spiritual state of the Patient are evaluated when the patient comes for follow up.This helps in evaluating as how the patient is able to handle urges and helps in the identification of the triggers and the consequences, the patient should be engaged in problem-solving and the methods for relapse prevention.AFTER CARE AND COMMUNITY AWARENESS PROGRAMSTreatment helps a Patient in terms of understanding the nature of the Disease of Addiction and Developing Coping Strategies and Skills.
