Alyana a ray of hope, a place, a shelter for the people in need. One of the best rehab in Kolkata. Avijit Roy had dream about Alyana in the year 2010, and build a shelter for people who were suffering from drug / alcohol. In 2010 Avijit Roy established Alyana for helping the suffering addicts and people in need. He himself started working towards the ray of hope hand to hand with love and affection along with all the recovering addicts. The therapy begins with Detoxification supported by specialist doctor and continued with Rehabilitation and mental upbringing supported by psychiatrist , psychologist and Councilors . Yoga meditation and pranayam conducted by volunteers‚ from Ramkrishna mission and other missionary organisations. The process is to help the addicts to change their lifestyle and help them to learn to live a life with a discipline manner. Alyana teaches the addicts to give moral values and to be a responsible and productive member of the society. When life is afraid of it’s own shadow the one who takes you out of that shadow is ALYANA ( Mission Of Life ) a ray of hope. In Alyana, we believe to create a day when people who all have got scattered in their life due to addiction will rehabilitate themselves in a clean healthy life and also make a beautiful life for the people who are in needs, people who are differently able and the people of different ages. Recovery is not a destination, it is a journey. All our activities are focused upon helping addicts and their family members to lead a happy, healthy and productive life. It is a known fact that Alyana staff mainly consists of recovering addicts along with professional psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers. Initially Avijit Roy started Alyana as a therapeutic center for drug / alcohol dependency, however Alyana is a shelter for all the people in need and people who has lost their path due to different reason. In Alyana we believe in living a discipline life through proper rehabilitation. The Treatment Length is not fixed for every client as it depends upon the psychology of the client.
